Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience

An immersive, intercultural experience, you can learn about aboriginal culture and traditions through dance, learn about animals, food and gathering on an incredible Dreamtime Walk. Offering a range of traditional aboriginal artwork, Rainforest Nature Park’s cultural centre is certainly worth visiting at the end of your trip!

Koala and Wildlife Park

Animal lovers can enjoy the incredible Koala and Wildlife Park which is full of fascinating animals native to Australia including koalas, wallabies, wombats, kangaroos, lizards and crocodiles. Get up close to wallabies and kangaroos which you can hand feed!

Army Duck Tour

Venture through the spectcaular Kundra Rainforest on the incredible Army Duck Tour, which allows you to take in the beautiful surroundings and also spot a variety of wildlife such as turtles, fish and eels!

How to get there

Cómo llegar a Rainforestation Nature Park

Rainforestation Nature Park address: 1030 Kennedy Hwy, Kuranda QLD 4881, Australia

  • Car: if you are travelling by car and travelling from Cairns, travel North on Sheridan Street and then when you pass the airport on your right, Sheridan Street becomes the Captain Cook Highway and then you can cross over the Barron River Bridge. Then carry on through the Machans Beach, Holloways Beach and Yorkeys Knob and Caravonica roundabouts. After that, turn left at the Smithfield roundabout whilst you pass Smithfield Shopping Centre on your right. Then continue on Kennedy Highway for about 5km until you turn right off to Rainforestation.
  • Shuttle Bus: there is a completely free of charge shuttle bus service running from Kuranda Village to Rainforest Nature Park.

Access

Rainforestation Nature Park is fully accessible with ramps, accessible toilets and the Army Duck Platforms are completely accessible. The shuttle bus service is also accessible.

Food and drink

Enjoy a bite to eat at the Rainforest cafe whilst you take in sensational views of a beautiful lake amidst the rainforest. The Rainforest Cafe offers coffee or lunch.

Gift Shop

Don’t forget to stop at the gift shop to explore the Rainforest Park’s unique aboriginal art!
