The main modes of transport are the tram, the train, the bus and by car. If you are travelling by train, then you can take the train which runs from Flinders Street Station to Upfield park. Alternatively, if you are travelling by tram, then simply take route 58, which runs between West Cobourg and Tarak. The zoo is also easily accessible by bus; bus route 505 goes from Moonee Ponds to Melbourne University. For those travelling by car, Melbourne Zoo car park is $2 for 5 hours.
