About

Are you fascinated by sea horses? Then Seahorse World is the place for you! Discover an incredible array of these elegant, curious creatures which populate our waters on a highly educational and informative visit. Located in Tasmania, Seahorse World is a unique and worthwhile experience whilst visiting the island!

The park was initially created in order to farm seahorses to supply to the Traditional Chinese Medicine market and, as a result, reduce pressure on Seahorses from being over fished. However, because of their high cost, they changed from medicinal production of seahorses to breeding them for the marine ornamental market via pet wholesalers and public aquariums around the world. Nowadays, they are fully committed to breeding, educating and enabling seahorse conservation, and they sell some of their species to some of the biggest aquariums around the world, like Florida Aquarium, Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, Shedd Aquarium in Chicago or Sealife Melbourne.

Get your tickets now and don’t miss the unique chance to become an expert and learn it all about this wonderful species!
