How to get there

Sovereign Hill Ballarat address:

Bradshaw St, Golden Point VIC 3350 

• Car: located 90 minutes outside of Melbourne in the historic city of Ballarat, Sovereign Hill is easy to reach by car. Take the freeway and travel about 110km. 
• Train and bus: you can take the V/line train from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station which is about 90 minutes to Ballarat Station in the centre of town. You can then catch bus route 21.  
• Taxi: you can take a taxi easily to the park, please call 131 008. 

Useful Information

Access

Given that Sovereign Hill is located on a hill which aims to recreate a historical period, some areas of the park are not fully accessible. There is a gentle slope, some uneven ground and gravel and there are some wide bluestone gutters. Please call the park on 03 5337 1199 for more information. Please see the free wheelchair and stroller app which is available.

Wheelchairs

There are wheelchairs available completely free of charge. However, please note that they are subject to availability.

There are several places to eat available onsite such as the New York Bakery, the Hope Bakery, the USA Bar and a Cafe.
