Since its founding in Sydney in 2009, The Metropolitan Orchestra has delivered over 650 acclaimed performances which have been applauded for their classical and contemporary repertoire. This is why TMO excels in genres like film and video game music, ballet, opera, and contemporary collaborations.
The Metropolitan Orchestra’s annual programming includes the Met Concert series, Family Cushion Concerts, Chamber Music Festival, free concerts, and international tours, bringing to stages all around the very best orchestra concerts to suit anyone’s taste in music. TMO has toured with renowned artists like 2Cellos, as well as bringing cinematic experiences like Jurassic Park and Blue Planet to life.
TMO also champions Australian talent through programs like the Composer Development Program with the mission to make classical music accessible.
